I hope everyone is having a great Memorial weekend! Mine has been a fairly equal mixture of laziness and productivity. Saturday Chad and I went for a long walk (4 or 5 miles; not sure exactly) on a paved trail (which we had to drive to) which took us into downtown Beckley. While we were there, we went into town and walked around. A local bar, The Lost Parrot, was having a big party they called Parrotpalooza. There was a band playing, grills on the street, local businesses advertising, etc. It would have been more fun had we known about it ahead of time and had any money and a camera. Still, it was a great time! It's nice to be in such good shape that I can go for such a long walk and not be on the brink of death.
After church Sunday we finally got the apartment cleaned up. I'm trying to get back into my Flylady habits. I've been out of them for so long I feel like I have to start all over. It's ok, though. Falling is only failing when you don't get back up again. Right?
Also, I had a bit of a break-through during my Turbo Fire workout. Stretch 40 is always incredibly hard for me. I have no flexibility, so stretching is very challenging. This time I finally felt like I was making progress. I could stretch farther and hold the strength poses longer. It felt great! I actually enjoyed it instead of hating every moment of it. I'm in love with Turbo. In fact, I have a new goal to attend a Turbo Kick instructor training later this year. I think it's going to be a blast!
Enjoy your long weekend and be safe!
